Loppet to Operate Winter Recreation at Wirth from Winter Village This Year

The Loppet Foundation and the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) are working together to bring a top quality winter recreation experience to Minneapolis park users this year. As part of that partnership the Loppet Foundation will be operating winter recreation at Wirth Park from the Par-3 building at Wirth, with an adjacent “winter village” as well.

The winter village will include the home base for ski rentals and tubing hill rentals, as well as a warming house and fire pits. The winter village will be located near the Par-3 building, to the north of the “Par-3” parking lot and in the same general vicinity that The Trailhead building is projected to be built next year.

Look for the “Winter Recreation Headquarters” at the Par-3 to be open seven days per week from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. during the winter months.
