Loppet Festival 2015 – Revised Plan!
Because of the lack of cold and snow this year’s Loppet Festival has been significantly altered. Most events will be held on or around the Hap Lutter snowmaking loop at Theodore Wirth Park.
The notable exception is the Comcast Luminary Loppet, which will be a walking-only event at Lake of the Isles. The Post-Luminary Party will take place at the bottom of the Mall near the Isles-Calhoun Lagoon. (Just north of Lagoon on Knox Avenue/Calhoun Parkway.)
The good news is that crowding issues are not as significant with a walking event as they are with a skiing event. For that reason there is capacity for more people. Those still seeking a ticket for the Comcast Luminary Loppet may purchase a ticket online through Tuesday evening at midnight, at the Columbia Store in Uptown from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, or at a premium price, on-site in one of the five registration tents around Lake of the Isles Saturday evening.
Please note: tickets are still limited so purchasing in advance is encouraged!
Please see the Loppet Festival Changes Guide for more information on the Comcast Luminary Loppet and for information on all of the Theodore Wirth based events. More Information.
