Get ready for winter ski races with fall rollerski programs. LNR offers four nine-week programs for adults 18+ looking to improve their skiing.
Fall Intermediate Rollerski – Tuesday Mornings- W.Bush Lake Park, Bloomington
- Dates: September 3- October 29- runs 9 weeks
- Day: Tuesday Mornings
- Time: 7am – 8:30am
- Location: West Bush Lake Park, Bloomington MN. Near Hyland Park.
- Equipment: Skate and classic rollerskis. Most sessions will be skate.

Sessions focus on interval training, specific strength and technique development for skate skiing. Initial focus on rollerski skills- balance, stopping, gliding. Then working on legs only skiing and double poling. Finally perfecting V2, V2Alt, and V1 techniques. Note that this is a group for athletes who are experienced (intermediate) xc skiers, and are trying to improve their balance and confidence on rollerskis. This group will use beginner/intermediate (moderate) terrain and spend a fair amount of time getting comfortable on rollerskis on flat terrain: initially focusing on cornering, and controlling speed.

- Equipment: Skate and classic rollerskis. Most sessions will be skate.

This training group is similar to the other, but will use more hilly terrain in the neighborhoods around French Park for interval training. Sessions focus on interval training, specific strength and technique development for skate skiing. If there’s interest, the group will cover classic skiing as well, but the main focus will be skate. Initial focus on rollerski skills- balance, stopping, gliding. Then working on legs only skiing and double poling. Finally perfecting V2, V2Alt, and V1 techniques. Note that this is a group for athletes who are experienced (intermediate to advanced) xc skiers, and are fairly comfortable on their rollerskis and can navigate flat and moderately hilly terrain.

- Equipment: skate rollerskis (classic optional), heart rate monitor, helmet, hi-vis clothing

Advanced rollerski group for current or aspiring Wave 1 skiers. Sessions focus on interval training, specific strength and technique development with use of drills and video analysis. All sessions will include some kind of intensity. Class is for both advanced women and men looking to improve their Birkie or Loppet marathon finish times! Training will primarily be using the Franklin Bridge hill, and the fsections of bike path between Franklin Bridge and downtown.
