Curious about what your kids are learning in Trail Kids? Or maybe the name “Trail Adults” has piqued your interest. If you’re looking for a fun family activity you can all enjoy together, our Trail Adults program teaches the same skills as our Trail Kids program but is for adults only.
It is offered at the same time and location as the Trail Kids 6 week Theodore Wirth offering. So you can drop your Trail Kid off and then join your Trail Adults team led by Loppet mountain bike coaches.
This program is not limited to just parents of Trail Kids.
Trail Adults is for any adults interested in learning how to mountain bike confidently and safely or improving their mountain bike skills.
If you’re interested in trying out mountain biking, give Trail Adults a try, it’s a great place to start. We have space for a minimum of 5 and max of 12 adults for each session.
Each session begins with instruction on one or two mountain bike skills designed to help you feel more confident and safer on the trail. Following instruction, you’ll ride the Loppet trails with your coach to practice your new skills!
This is different from our adult clinics. We ride more, typically 45-60 minutes each practice.
Skills you will learn
- Proper body position
- Bike/body separation
- How to pedal and shift efficiently
- Controlling speed and braking safely
- Cornering confidently
- How to ride over obstacles and rocky terrain
- Where to look on the trail as you ride
- Ratcheting (not sure what this means? Sign up!)

Refund Policy
The Loppet will issue a full refund of the program fee minus the original processing fee up until 4 weeks before the program starts. Between 4 and 3 weeks from the program start date, a 50% refund will be issued. There are no refunds for any cancellations within less than 3 weeks of the start of a program.
