August 5 Member Event – FAST KIDS Family Potluck

Join us August 5th for an end of summer celebration with FAST KIDS, Junior Loppet teams, and Loppet Adventure Camps youth and families.

If you are up to it, before the potluck there is the opportunity to participate as a partner on an Age Gap Relay team with members of the Junior Loppet teams at Anwatin, Franklin Middle School (formerly Nellie Stone Johnson) and Northeast Middle School. Cheering is also a noble endeavor. You can also choose to participate with your own youth family member. (rules for Age Gap Relays apply)

The race will be held on the Tornado Alley race course which is a mix of single track, ski trails and bike path. The race will start with a mass start adults lap followed by kids lap then adult lap and then kids finishing the final lap ( each relay member does 2 laps total). The course is great for beginners if you or your youth partner does not have much experience mountain biking.

Post Race Potluck Picnic and Awards:

Following the Age Gap Relay Race there will be a potluck picnic and overall Adventure Bike Race Series awards. The Loppet foundation will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, watermelon and lemonade! Penn Cycle will provide some cookies for dessert. Please bring a healthy fruit, veggie or main dish to share! Dinner will be at Wirth Beach at 6:30 pm.

Registration for races will begin at 4:30 PM at Wirth Beach, racing will begin at 5:30 PM – we will go over to the course together.
