Farview Sprints to Happen Wednesday, January 27, 2016
On Wednesday January 27, 2016, the third annual Farview Sprints will take place at Farview Park in North Minneapolis.
The Farview sprints features cross-country ski sprints and is one of the only races in the Midwest that is specifically for Middle School ski racers. The Minneapolis Schools – Anwatin, Franklin and Northeast, run by the Loppet Foundation – are hosting other Middle School teams from the Twin Cities, including Minnehaha Academy, St Paul Murray and Minneapolis Susan B Anthony.
The qualifers will begin at 5:30 p.m. and semi-finals and finals will begin at 6:30 p.m.. These sprints offer a unique grade level final heat as well as overall final heats. Located at 29th Ave and Lyndale in the Jordan Neighborhood, this will be the second time the Farview Sprints will be held at its namesake park. Last year, due to low snow, the sprints were moved to Theodore Wirth Park.
