Latest MJC Trail Conditions
Hi there,
Looking forward to a great weekend of skiing! With low temperatures last night, the Loppet trail crew was able to blow quite a lot of fresh man-made snow onto the Upper Stadium and push much of it onto the course to cover thin spots. Today’s temperature is looking stable with a high of 34 degrees, and tonight’s low at 24 degrees. We should be looking at a pleasant evening of Age Gap Relays tonight, as well as some fast tracks for tomorrow’s classic races, followed by sunny skate races! We will have wax doctors on hand in the Upper Stadium for your convenience navigating kick wax questions. The course does encounter some older, dirtier snow on the far parts of the 1.3K loop. The base is solid and we don’t anticipate any trouble with dirt or thin spots, but we are working with some old snow. But skiing is skiing and we’re excited to see you all tonight and tomorrow.
