The Loppet Announces New Executive Director
November 8, 2024
Loppet Community,
We are thrilled to announce Meghan Cosgrove as The Loppet’s new Executive Director! With a longstanding commitment to creating community and equity in the outdoors, Meghan aligns closely with our mission of connecting people to the outdoors through experiences that grow community, and our work surrounding DEI goals and bringing antiracism to the forefront of all areas of the organization.
Most recently Meghan was the Executive Director at YMCA Menogyn. Meghan shares about her new role, “I am honored to join the Loppet Foundation as the next executive director. I have long admired the mission and values of this great organization, and I look forward to partnering with the team to serve the Loppet Community. I want to thank Claire Wilson for her strong leadership over the last four years. It is clear that I am inheriting a healthy organization that is ready for the next chapter.”
Per Loppet’s Board of Directors, “Meghan is a recognized leader in outdoor recreation with a demonstrated track record of making the outdoors more inclusive and accessible. Throughout her 20+ years leading Camp Menogyn and Camp Warren, Meghan has built effective teams, developed a new generation of outdoor leaders and created partnerships aimed at removing barriers from the pursuit of outdoor activities. Our board of directors is excited to partner with Meghan as we enter a new phase, building on the success of the 2024 Stifel Loppet Cup.”
Meghan will officially begin her role at The Loppet on Monday, November 18, 2024. We’re so excited for this next step in our journey. Welcome, Meghan!
