The Loppet Welcomes Trailhead Cafe Powered by Aki’s BreadHaus

The Loppet is excited to welcome The Trailhead Cafe powered by Aki’s BreadHaus, beginning May 2026. Led by Aki’s BreadHaus, the café will offer approachable, high-quality fare anchored in fresh bread, complemented by a curated beverage program featuring offerings from Broken Clock Brewing Cooperative and Curioso Coffee

In partnership with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, The Loppet launched a request for proposals in mid-December and is pleased to have selected a partner with roots in the community.

“The Trailhead Cafe powered by Aki’s BreadHaus will be a welcome addition to The Trailhead,” said Meghan Cosgrove, Executive Director of The Loppet. “We’re confident park users will love the food and beverages they’re bringing to this space.”

“We are incredibly excited to be part of the Loppet Foundation community and to serve the people who make Trailhead such a special place,” said Nancy Marone, partner and owner of Aki’s BreadHaus. “There’s something really special about being part of people’s day when they’re out enjoying the park, and we’re honored to create a space that feels welcoming and truly connected to Theodore Wirth.”

The Trailhead Cafe is expected to roll out operations throughout the month of May with an action packed Grand Opening Weekend, May 29-31st.
