Loppet Goes Epic!

The City of Lakes Loppet Ski Festival truly is for everyone. It’s full of fun family events like the Luminary Loppet, Minne-Loppet, and Snow Sculpture Contest, and challenging, competitive races. Challenging, competitive races that just got even more challenging – the Hoigaard’s Classic and the Loppet Freestyle are now both full marathons – 42 kilometers – or 26.2 miles. Oh, and they have long, challenging trails at the end of the course thanks to a new partnership with the Minikahda Club.

Doing just one of those marathon-distance events would demonstrate a hardy Minnesota-ness. But for those of you who consider yourself “above average” on the hardy-Minnesota-ness scale, we have a competition for you: the Loppet Challenge – skiing both the Hoigaard’s Classic and the Loppet Freestyle, back-to-back marathons through the heart of the City! Epic. Register for the Challenge by Nov. 30 and receive a special Loppet Challenge commemorative bib.
