LNR Dryland and Classroom Technique Clinic for Adults
Where: Fireplace Room, Wirth Chalet, 1301 Theodore Wirth Parkway
When: Sunday, November 13, 2016
Who: This free session open to Adult XC Skiers. We’ll go over technique basics that are important for beginner – advanced skiers. Its open to all current and past LNR Adult program participants as well as any athlete interested in learning more about Winter Training Programs for Adult XC Ski Racers. We’ll start outside- dryland- some come dressed appropriately! Then we’ll move inside for a classroom approach to xc ski technique.
Schedule:
- 4:00 – 5:00pm: Outside Dryland Technique Session led by LNR Development Coach Chris Harvey
- 5:00 – 6:00pm: Inside Presentation on Technique and Training for Adult XC Ski Racers by LNR Head Coach Piotr Bednarski
LNR Development Coach, Chris Harvey, will run participants through a series for dryland drills for both classic and skate techniques focusing on core stability and forward body position.
LNR Head Coach, Piotr Bednarski, will discuss training methods for athletes age 30+ looking to race in ski marathons like the City of Lakes Loppet and the American Birkebeiner. He will cover successful training strategies to improve XC ski fitness. He will also review the LNR winter program offerings. There will be time for Q & A after the presentation.
