LNR has a variety of fall training groups kicking off after Labor Day. Fall is the time to get the body in shape for winter with sport specific technique, strength and fitness. Find the right group for you from locations on West River Road, Hyland and the Trailhead and dryland, rollerskiing, and strength training groups. NEW Ski Lab
12 week deep dive into ski technique, balance, posture and strength training
FALL: Tuesday Evenings @ Theodore Wirth Beach
Dryland Intensity and Technique for XC skiers. Training will include strength/plyometrics exercise, but the primary focus will be bounding, ski walking, and running intervals using the hilly terrain in South Theodore Wirth Park.
Dates: September 8th – November 10th (10 sessions)
Time: 5pm – 6:30pm

FALL: Women's Wednesday Mornings @ Theodore Wirth
Sessions will include balance, strength, and dryland drills. All sessions will include an intensity component in the form of ski walking, running and/or bounding. The goals of this session are:
Perfect basic skiing motions such as arm swing, classic kick and leg swing, and side push skate motion with legs. Gain strength in the important xc skiing muscle groups such as abdominal muscles, lower back, glutes, and quads.
Make improvements in balance and ankle strength so that skills of weight shift and long glide become easier on snow. Weekly interval and strength circuit sessions to improve your fitness and results for the winter race season! Make more life long women training friends (we often have post workout potlucks)!
Dates: September 2nd – Oct 28th (9 sessions)
Day: Wednesday mornings, September 9th to November 18th (11 sessions)
Time: 10am – 11:30 a.m.
Location: The Trailhead, Theodore Wirth Park ( some sessions will meet at Wirth Beach for a variety of terrain and trails)

Strength and ski specific plyometrics at Wabun Picnic area. This session is for all abilities using primarily body weights and bands, with additional focus on core strength, balance, and mobility that will really help you get more comfortable and speedy on your skis this winter. This is a great complement to the Friday Morning Dryland Intensity Sessions at Minnehaha Falls. There is a discount if you register for both Tuesday/Friday at Minnehaha Falls.

In most instances there will be a $500 financial assistance cap per person/per year.
