Local and national organizations are gathering at REI in Bloomington on November 8 to get the word out about adaptive nordic skiing and biathlon! Come check out the biathlon laser rifles (non-firearm) and other ski gear that Paralympic and Olympic athletes use, and stay for a short presentation by coaches and athletes beginning at 1 PM.
Learn how to get involved in adaptive skiing at any level. From local ski lessons and clubs to regional racing and international competition, there is room for participation! For those who want to volunteer, we are especially looking for skiers to pair with an adaptive skier during lessons, as well as during the Luminary Loppet in late January.
The Loppet Foundation, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Center, Three Rivers Parks, and US Paralympics partner to support adaptive skiing in the Twin Cities.
Interested in learning more or volunteering, but can’t make the clinic? We’d love to hear from you! Contact Kelly Underkofler at underkofler@loppet.org
